This 1.5-inch mariner cross crucifix in 14K yellow gold features the figure of Christ on a mariner-style cross with the distinctive anchor-link openings in each arm. The crucifix version adds a deeper level of religious significance compared to a plain cross, with detailed sculpting of the body of Christ rendered in polished yellow gold. The 5.4mm bail accommodates chains up to approximately 5mm wide.
At 3.5 grams of solid 14-karat gold, this crucifix has real presence at 1.5 inches and pairs beautifully with rope, curb, or figaro chains in the 3-5mm range. The mariner cross design has roots in nautical tradition and carries dual symbolism — faith and safe passage — making it a meaningful piece with centuries of history.
